Lucid Crypto Payout Update
Effective today, Lucid will no longer offer crypto payouts to traders based in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia. Traders in these regions will be paid via WorkMarket going forward. Nothing else changes - this affects how you receive your money, not whether, when, or how much.
TL;DR - Lucid Payout Update
- Effective today: no more crypto payouts for traders in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia.
- Those traders will be paid via WorkMarket instead.
- Everything else is unchanged - accounts, evaluations, funded status, splits, and schedule.
- Reason: coordinated payout fraud in these regions (100+ wallets across 277 accounts).
- Affected traders will be prompted to set up WorkMarket at payout.
What Is Changing
Effective today, Lucid will no longer offer crypto payouts to traders based in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia. Traders in these regions will be paid via WorkMarket going forward. This is a change to how you receive your money, not whether, when, or how much - your accounts, evaluations, funded status, payout eligibility, profit splits, and payout schedule are all unaffected.
Why Lucid Is Doing This
Lucid says it identified a significant volume of coordinated fraudulent activity running through crypto payouts in these regions. To give a sense of scale: over 100 wallet addresses were receiving payouts on behalf of 277 separate trader accounts - including single wallets collecting payouts for 8 and even 11 different accounts. As Lucid puts it, that is not how legitimate individual traders get paid.
Lucid points to its legal and ethical obligation to take reasonable measures against money laundering and fraud. Acting where the abuse is concentrated, it says, protects the integrity of the ecosystem and its ability to keep offering crypto payouts to traders everywhere else in the world.
What You Need to Do
If you are a trader in one of these regions with a payout request pending or planned, you will be prompted at payout to create your WorkMarket profile. For the majority of Lucid traders, nothing changes - this update only affects traders in the regions listed above.
Who This Affects
This update applies only to traders based in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia. For everyone else, crypto payouts continue as normal. Across all regions, accounts, evaluations, funded status, payout eligibility, profit splits, and payout schedule stay exactly the same.
