Lucid Trading Review 2026 - Daily, Flex, Pro & Direct | FPF

Lucid Trading Review 2026

Four plans, four rulesets. LucidDaily, Flex, Pro and Direct broken down side by side - drawdown, daily loss limits, consistency, payouts and the move to live.

8.7 FPF ScoreOut of 10
LucidDaily - New 40% OFF Code FPF 90% Payout Split Daily Payouts No Activation Fee Sim Funded

Lucid Trading is a futures prop firm running four account types: LucidDaily (customizable evaluation, daily payouts, no consistency rule once funded), Lucid Flex (evaluation, no daily loss limit, payouts every 5 days), Lucid Pro (evaluation, LucidScale DLL, payouts every 3 days), and LucidDirect (no evaluation, instant funded). Every evaluation lets you pick your own drawdown type at checkout, and Flex, Pro and Direct are all capped at 5 payouts per account. Every plan pays a 90/10 profit split, charges no activation fee, and activates in real time within 5 to 30 minutes of hitting the profit target. Account sizes run from 25K to 150K. Evaluations are one-time fees with no monthly rebilling and no deadline to pass. The Lucid Trading promo code is FPF - 40% OFF LucidDaily for the first 5 accounts per trader, then 30% OFF after that. FPF scores Lucid Trading 8.7 out of 10.

Which Lucid plan fits you

The short version, before the tables.

New

LucidDaily

You want to shape the rules yourself and take payouts as often as you qualify. Build your own account at checkout, then trade a funded account with no consistency rule.

Evaluation

Lucid Flex

You hate daily loss limits. No DLL anywhere, no consistency once funded, but payouts come every 5 days and your size grows through a scaling plan.

Evaluation

Lucid Pro

You want full size from day one and the fastest payout cycle Lucid runs, every 3 days. The trade-off is a 40% consistency rule on every request.

Instant

LucidDirect

You do not want to sit an evaluation at all. Immediate funded capital, at the price of the strictest consistency rule Lucid runs: 20%.

  • Every evaluation lets you choose EOD or Intraday drawdown at checkout
  • Real-time activation within 5 to 30 minutes of hitting target
  • No activation fee to upgrade to a funded account
  • A documented path to live markets, not just a sim ceiling

Cons

  • 90% payout split rather than 100%
  • LucidDaily funded accounts are always Intraday drawdown, whatever you picked for the eval
  • News trading is a hard breach on LucidDaily funded accounts
  • Sim profit carried into live is capped at $15,000 total, however many accounts you hold
  • Flex, Pro and Direct are all capped at 5 payouts per account

LucidDaily in full

The newest plan, and the only one you build yourself.

LucidDaily is the only Lucid plan you configure at purchase. Two switches, four possible accounts, four different prices. Everything else - profit targets, max loss limits, consistency, contract sizes - stays the same whichever combination you pick.

The two switches

Intraday eval drawdown
EOD eval drawdown
DLL ON
Option 1 Daily loss limit enforced. Eval tracks your live P&L in real time. Cheapest
Option 2 Daily loss limit enforced. Eval drawdown set at session close only. Mid-tier
DLL OFF
Option 3 No daily loss limit in either phase. Eval tracks real-time P&L. Mid-tier
Option 4 No daily loss limit, and eval drawdown only moves at session close. Most expensive
NoteWhichever option you choose, the funded account always uses Intraday drawdown. The EOD setting applies to the evaluation only. And once an account is active the settings are locked - changing them means buying a new account.

Evaluation

$100K$6,000$3,00050%6 mini or 60 micro
$150K$9,000$4,50050%10 mini or 100 micro
GoodOne-time fee, no monthly rebilling, and no deadline. Take as long as you need. Activation happens within 5 to 30 minutes of hitting target, with no activation fee.

Consistency and the cushion

Largest single day profit / account profit = consistency % Must be 50% or less to upgrade to a funded account. No consistency rule once funded.

Lucid builds a small cushion into the 50% rule so a trader who is set on passing in two days can do it. The table below shows what that cushion looks like at exactly 50% of target.

Consistency cushion at exactly 50% of profit target
AccountProfit targetStrict 50%With cushion
$25K$1,250$625$650
$50K$3,000$1,500$1,560
$100K$6,000$3,000$3,120
$150K$9,000$4,500$4,680
NoteThe cushion is a percentage of what you actually earned, not a fixed dollar figure. The table is an illustration at one specific point, not a guaranteed allowance.

Funded account

LucidDaily funded account parameters
AccountMax loss limitDrawdownConsistencyDaily payoutsMax size
$25K$1,000IntradayNoneYes2 mini or 20 micro

$100K$3,000IntradayNoneYes6 mini or 60 micro
$150K$4,500IntradayNoneYes10 mini or 100 micro
Hard breachNo news trading on LucidDaily funded accounts. The restriction applies only when the event is both High impact and USD. You must be flat from one minute before through one minute after, and you may not hold or open a position through that window. Breaking this breaches the account - it is not a soft lockout.

Drawdown and daily loss limit

Max loss limit trail and lock points
AccountMLL amountInitial trail balanceLocked MLL
$25K$1,000$26,100$25,100
$50K$2,000$52,100$50,100
$100K$3,000$103,100$100,100
$150K$4,500$154,600$150,100
GoodThe MLL trails upward until the account exceeds the Initial Trail Balance, then it locks at starting balance plus $100 and stops moving for good.
Fixed DLL, if you chose DLL ON
LucidDaily fixed daily loss limit - identical in evaluation and funded
AccountFixed DLL
$25K$600
$50K$1,200
$100K$1,800
$150K$2,700
InfoThe DLL is a soft breach - you are locked out until the next session, not closed down. But it stays fixed while the MLL trails upward, so late in an account's life the MLL can become the tighter of the two. Hitting the MLL is a hard breach.

Payouts

Two requirements, both of which must be true: your profit must sit above the buffer balance, and you must have positive net profit since your last payout - even a single dollar counts.

Buffer balance - initial max loss limit plus $100
AccountBuffer balanceMax daily profit before auto-live
$25K$26,100$6,000
$50K$52,100$8,000
$100K$103,100$10,000
$150K$154,600$12,000
WatchDaily is capped at $15,000 in total payouts rather than a fixed number of requests. It also carries a Maximum Daily Profit - meet or exceed that number in a single day and you are automatically moved live. That is a ceiling on the sim account, not a payout.
InfoMinimum request is $500. The maximum per request is whatever sim profit sits above your buffer. Requests are final once submitted, funds leave the account within minutes of approval, and reach your payment method within 2 business days. If a trade drops you back into the buffer before processing, the request can be denied.

Flex, Pro and Direct

The three original plans.

Flex - evaluation
GoodNo daily loss limit in either phase, and no consistency rule once funded. Contract size grows through a scaling plan that updates at the end of each session.

InfoFlex payout maximums do not scale up with later payouts, and the account is capped at 5 payouts - after the fifth you are moved to live markets. Payouts come on a 5 day cycle. No buffer balance is required on Flex.
07

Moving to live

What actually happens to your sim profit.

Lucid's risk team reviews traders continuously. You enter the live pool by earning the Maximum Daily Profit for your size, by being paid a significant amount over the account's lifetime, by exceptional sim performance, or by having been live before. Every transition is at the team's discretion.

The capSim profit above your buffer can be paid out after broker KYC, but it is capped at $15,000. That cap is total, not per account - one 25K account or five 150K accounts both cap at $15,000. Anything above it cannot be withdrawn. The buffer itself funds your starting live drawdown and is never withdrawable.
Starting live drawdown and contract limits
Funded sizeStarting live drawdownMax live contracts
$25,000$1,0002 mini or 20 micro
$50,000$2,0004 mini or 40 micro
$100,000$3,0006 mini or 60 micro
$150,000$4,50010 mini or 100 micro

Some highly volatile contracts carry reduced position sizing so traders cannot exceed the live drawdown.

InfoLive accounts start at $0 balance with daily payouts, EOD drawdown and no daily loss limit. You get one live account per eligible funded account, and each must have taken at least one payout to qualify. There is no consistency requirement at live, and no live bonus from LucidDaily.
TimingTransitions run each evening after the 6 PM ET session report and can take hours. Accounts are paused and positions flattened - which means you can be moved live mid-position. Lucid uses your prior day closing balance as the amount you move live with, so that session's P&L does not count either way.
CarefulAll simulated prop accounts close when you move live. A funded account with zero payouts is not moved, and its evaluation cost is refunded instead. If you keep evaluations in reserve, know that they will be closed. Hedging live accounts is prohibited by both Lucid and the CME and results in a permanent ban. And if one member of a household is live, nobody in that household may trade sim.

Frequently asked questions

The questions traders actually send us.

What is the Lucid Daily plan?

Daily is Lucid Trading's customizable plan. At checkout you choose two settings: Daily Loss Limit on or off, and evaluation drawdown as End-of-Day or Intraday. That produces four possible configurations at four different prices. The funded account always uses Intraday drawdown regardless of what you picked for the evaluation. Daily funded accounts allow daily payout requests, have no consistency rule, and are capped at $15,000 in total payouts.

Which Daily configuration is cheapest?

Daily Loss Limit ON combined with Intraday evaluation drawdown is the cheapest Daily configuration. DLL OFF combined with End-of-Day evaluation drawdown is the most expensive. The two mixed combinations sit in the middle. Once an account is active these settings cannot be changed - you would need to buy a new account.

What happens if I hit the Maximum Daily Profit on the Daily plan?

You are automatically moved to live trading. The Maximum Daily Profit is $6,000 on a 25K account, $8,000 on 50K, $10,000 on 100K and $12,000 on 150K. Meeting or exceeding that figure in a single day triggers the move to live rather than a payout.

Can I trade news on a Daily funded account?

No. Trading US high impact red folder news is a hard breach on Daily funded accounts. The restriction applies only when the event is both High impact and USD. You must be flat from one minute before through one minute after the event, and you may not hold or open positions through that window.

How much of my simulated profit can I keep when moved to live?

Simulated profit above the buffer balance can be paid out once KYC with the broker partner is complete, capped at $15,000 total. The cap is the same regardless of account size or how many accounts you hold - one 25K account or five 150K accounts both cap at $15,000. The buffer balance itself funds your starting live drawdown and cannot be withdrawn.

What is the difference between Daily, Flex, Pro, and Direct?

Daily is customizable at purchase, allows daily payout requests and has no consistency rule once funded, with a total payout cap of $15,000. Flex and Pro both require passing an evaluation. Flex has no daily loss limit and a simpler consistency rule, with payouts on a 5 day cycle. Pro has a LucidScale DLL and the fastest cycle at every 3 days. Direct skips the evaluation entirely but carries the strictest consistency rule at 20%. Flex, Pro and Direct are all capped at 5 payouts per account.

Is the Lucid Trading account a live funded account?

All Lucid Trading accounts start as Simulated Funded (Sim Funded) accounts. Traders can be moved to live markets based on performance, at the discretion of the Lucid risk team.

What is the LucidScale DLL at Lucid Trading?

The LucidScale DLL replaces the Fixed DLL once your account closes above the Initial Trail Balance. The formula is: Highest EOD Profit multiplied by 60% equals the DLL. It increases as profits grow and never decreases. LucidScale applies to Pro and Direct, not to the Daily plan - Daily uses a fixed DLL that does not change.

Does hitting the DLL close my Lucid Trading account?

No. All daily loss limits at Lucid Trading are soft breaches. Hitting the DLL restricts trading for the rest of the session but does not close the account, as long as the Max Loss Limit has not been reached.

Is there a monthly rebilling fee for Lucid Trading evaluations?

No. Daily, Flex and Pro evaluations are all one-time fee accounts. There is no monthly rebilling and no time limit to pass the evaluation.

What is the Lucid Trading promo code?

The Lucid Trading promo code is FPF. It gives 40% OFF the Daily plan, limited to 5 uses per trader. After those 5 uses the code continues to work at 30% OFF.
