What Changed in Drop #007

The $1.5K Challenge ran before on 2 micros, and Topstep's own line on it is "2 micros wasn't enough." Drop #007 keeps the same goal and the same one-time reward, but lets you trade up to 2 minis or 20 micros. The fee is $99 one-time, which Topstep says reflects the bigger buying power.

What $500 of Room Looks Like at Full Size

The static MLL gives you $500 before the account fails. At max size that room goes fast:

Points to the -$500 MLL at max size
ContractMax sizePer pointPoints to -$500
ES2 minis$1005
NQ2 minis$4012.5
MES20 micros$1005
MNQ20 micros$4012.5

Before commissions. Because the MLL is static, any profit you bank sits on top of the floor, so your room grows as you win instead of trailing up behind you.

Fine print that matters

  • The $1,500 reward is one-time - this is not an account with ongoing payouts.
  • Max 5 accounts per trader.
  • Limited availability, first come, first served - Topstep did not give an end date.

Is It Worth It?

$99 for a shot at a fixed $1,500, with no daily loss limit, no consistency rule and no minimum days, is about as simple as a prop challenge gets. The static floor is $500 - at 2 minis on ES that is 5 points. The extra size helps you get to the target faster once you have a cushion, not on the first trade. Compare it with other firms on the price list.

What is the Topstep $1.5K Challenge?

What are the rules of the Topstep $1.5K Challenge?

You pass at $1,500 and fail at -$500, with a static $500 Max Loss Limit. There is no daily loss limit, no consistency target, no minimum days, no scaling plan and no profit split. Max size is 2 minis or 20 micros.

What changed in the new $1.5K Challenge?
